Long-distance communication & multi-hop 920MHz wireless module
In addition to long-distance communication with a range of 9 km, it also supports multi-hop and encrypted communication.
The IM920sL series is a sub-GHz LPWA 920MHz wireless module capable of long-distance communication, equipped with ad-hoc multi-hop functionality. It features a long-distance mode that achieves a line-of-sight communication range of approximately 9 km, as well as a mid-range mode that balances data rate and distance. Additionally, in high-speed mode, it can communicate with other IM920s series devices. The multi-hop communication topology includes a relay operation mode with light communication load, as well as mesh and tree network types that automatically switch routes, which can be used with command switching. Furthermore, it supports packet encryption and source authentication with AES-GCM encryption functionality. It has already obtained technical compliance certification, so no licenses or application procedures are required. Complicated radio law-related controls are handled internally. A retransmission function has been added, making external control easier. The interface uses a variable-speed synchronous serial interface employing IM commands. It is compatible with other IM series, allowing for easy control from external microcontrollers. An external antenna type is also available, so you can choose according to your usage environment, such as when using a metal case or when you want to stabilize communication further.
